Caritas Partners Teams Up with Global Impact to Help the World’s Most Vulnerable Populations
Global Impact and Caritas Partners Collaborate to Support People in Need
Brokerage Firm Commits Percentage of Commissions to Support High Impact Funds
Alexandria, VA (February 6, 2015)—Global Impact is excited to announce that it has been named a charity of choice for Caritas Partners and will collaborate with the firm to support people in need around the world through charitable High Impact Funds. Caritas Partners, LLC, a New York-based securities trading firm, was founded in 2012 as a capitalist enterprise on a mission. The company donates a predetermined percentage of gross commissions, not just profits, to charity based on the client’s preferences. “Caritas Partners grew from the belief that daily trading activity provides an untapped opportunity for raising charitable revenue,” said Founder and Chief Executive Officer Richard C. Naso. “Global Impact’s work on behalf of the most vulnerable populations is more urgent now than ever, and Caritas Partners is proud to partner with them in their critical work.” Caritas Partners’ clients now have a robust international giving option through Global Impact’s individual funds focused on education, clean water, human trafficking, disaster response, global health, hunger, malaria, economic development, and women and girls.
“Global Impact believes in the power of public-private partnerships and our work with Caritas Partners will further our mission of building partnerships and resources for the world’s most vulnerable people,” said Global Impact Vice President Joseph Mettimano. “Caritas Partners’ approach looks beyond the bottom line, and they are committed to helping others as their business grows. We are excited to be partnering with Caritas to support our High Impact Funds and look forward to seeing how we can change the world together,” he continued.
Global Impact’s High Impact Funds focus on the most pressing issues affecting people in need in the developing world. To implement these funds, we partner with established nonprofits that have “boots on the ground” and are leaders in each programmatic sector. The charities are vetted against high standards for performance, accountability and financial stewardship. Success stories and mapping for each fund are maintained using a custom website so that donors can see how and where their gifts are having an impact.
